Below is a story of a family who was helped becasue of YOU!

Without CCS, we wouldn’t be a family.”

Thanks to CCS supporters, Ashley, Anthony and baby Eli are together, safe and healthy.

Anthony and Ashley came to CCS homeless and hungry.  Ashley was six months pregnant and both were in recovery, working hard to turn their lives around and find a safe place where they could keep and raise their precious child.

Their journey of hope and healing began with a daily trip to a CCS food program, where Ashley would eat her only nutritious meal for the day.  This ritual became the needed entryway to work with supportive staff to find the one thing they needed most – safe and permanent housing.

It was on Ashley’s birthday, after Eli was born and they were resting in the hospital, that CCS staff visited the new family with wonderful news.  Amid smiles and tears, excited staff presented a birthday card that contained a single, shiny key and a simple, life changing message… “Happy Birthday— the key to your new apartment!”  As Ashley cuddled her son, she beamed with gratitude and said “Without CCS, we wouldn’t be a family.”

Every day, lives are changed because people like you hear the cries of the poor and respond to the great need by generously giving of their finances, time, and energy. Without your faithful partnership, many of these individuals and families would have nowhere else to turn.

The annual CCS Appeal for the Poor is a tangible way you can partner with us to provide essential, life-sustaining services to families like Ashley’s. Please know that in your local community, your gifts can translate into innovative housing solutions for the homeless, basic need items such as food, clothing and hygiene supplies, recovery and mental health counseling, and support for veterans, farmworkers, youth, the elderly, and those living with disabilities.

When Anthony and Ashley first came to CCS, all they wanted was a warm meal and somewhere safe to stay. Now, they are shining examples in their community and are planning for the future of their family.  Please join us this year by making a financial gift of support today. You can ensure that more lives are changed, children are loved, and families are healed.

With grateful appreciation,
Michael Reichert
President

PS: As good stewards of your generosity, 92 cents of each dollar given goes directly to those in need. Thank you for your belief in our mission and for making a gift to this important appeal!

Thank You from Ashley, Anthony and Eli!
